So as my first review I decided to go to TGIFridays where I normally get great service but this time they were a little off. It’s like all the rich college intern came back from school early and mad they had to get a summer job because Mommy and Daddy cut them the fuck off from a free ride. Here’s how my rating goes, I normally rate my enjoyment of a restaurant (or anywhere I go to eat) by how many drinks I order or how bad I’m stumbling out of the place.
I ordered the endless appetizers Jack Daniels Boneless wings with a ginger mule and a baskets of French fries. The food was great, the Mule could have had more alcohol in it and didn’t have to be so damn icy but everything was actually good. I think my biggest issue I had was with the waitress and how she didn’t feel like being there. With it being a heat wave I can understand but you can tell on her face that she wasn’t having a good day and showed in her work. The moment I get my food she asks me if I would like to put in another order for more appetizers. I go ‘Not yet, But thank you”, 2 seconds later she ask “ You know what you wanna put in yet?”, I go “ not yet”, After that I don’t see or hear from her for the rest of the day. 20 minutes go by and she never comes back to see if I need my drink refilled or if I wanted to place in my next order. I had to finally ask another waitress for a drink. Since the mule wasn’t that good I asked for their signature Long Island Ice Tea, I should had stuck with the Mule. The damn Long Island just tasted like tea with Lemon sugar water in it.
All in all, it was a rough day for TGIFriday and I can understand. It was hot, The waitress that was serving me first Air Conditioner in the car went out on her, they were short staffed so there was a lot of running around being done so I can’t really be mad at them for being a little irritated, but when your attitude plays a major of your check I would think you would act a little bit happier. Not ecstatic but some type of pleasant expression. But that’s just my thought.
What do you think?
